Omnichord Master

Saw a guy named Chris Dye play with the ever-awesome Ian Moore downtown at Thee Parkside. He played an omnichord like an absolute pro (as well as guitar and flute synth).

Hunched over a slab of plastic, kindof strumming over a metallic sensor, he made it sound like an orchestra with a simple set of volume and delay pedals.

What a treat - check them out!

Butterfly's Pendulum

stylized benjamin butterfly Benjamin Butterfly gave his PhD defense this morning. I watched it via live video stream from the Media Lab. This was his ending slide - a stylized butterfly.

Congratulations, Ben!

"Nothing of Importance"

Tuning into the radio early this morning on my way down, I listen to The Declaration of Independence, as read by the folks at NPR.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident"

King George III of England wrote in his diary of this day, 227 years ago, "Nothing of importance happened today."
